  il1834

Judging from the 1874 alphabetical index of Kaunas Jewish comunity members, Itzko-Leib (b. ca. 1834. d. before 1910), son of Mordkhel Eliashberg, had sons: Khaim-Arie, Ovsey (Ruth's grandfather; his Hebrew name was: Yehoshua), Yosel, Abram and Movsha, but the family is not included in the 1874 family list (not living in Kaunas?), and is only in 1874 alphabetical index, which is made in the basis of eariler revisions. Presumably Yosel was named after his grandfather Yosef Eliashberg who died in 1870. Note that Abram and Movsha were the names of Itzko Leib's sons and also names of Itzko Leib's brothers.

Judging from the Grodno Gubernia 1912 voters list database (available on the Jewishgen web site), Ovsey, Yosef and Movsha, sons of Itzko Leib, lived in Grodno district.
